The Week: Media News - Search engine spend rises

Search engine marketing spend in the UK rose by 11 per cent year on year during the fourth quarter of 2008, according to Efficient Frontier's Search Engine Performance report.

The results also demonstrated that Google improved its overall UK share of the search market from 82.6 per cent to 88.2 per cent year on year. Google's increased share was at the expense of Yahoo!, which saw its share drop from 13.9 per cent to 8.4 per cent year on year.
