The Week: Media news - Social media adspend up

Advertisers will spend £115 million this year on advertising on social networking sites such as Bebo and Facebook, according to research by eMarketer. The figure, which represents a substantial 77 per cent rise from £65 million last year, is projected to grow to £285 million by 2012.
