The Week: Media News - Targeted ads get thumbs up

Virgin Media has received positive feedback following a trial that saw targeted ads placed around selected shows on its on-demand TV service.

The company is set to roll out ads around the service in London following a successful trial in North London. More than half of homes in the trial, 54 per cent, gave positive feedback about advertising around on-demand content, with 62 per cent increasing their spontaneous awareness of the brands and products displayed.
