The Week: Media News - The Times ups coverprice

The Times has upped its coverprice from 90p to £1, aligning itself with the price of its rivals, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and The Guardian.

The coverprice will affect the Monday to Friday issues of the News International-owned newspaper. Saturday's issue of the title, priced at £1.50, and The Sunday Times, priced at £2, will not be affected. Last year witnessed a number of coverprice rises across the quality national newspaper market, as publishers grappled with the recession and falling circulations.
