The Week: Media News - Twitter costing UK business

Twitter and other social networking sights are causing a downturn in productivity worth an estimated £1.4 billion to UK businesses, according to new research by the IT services provider Morse.

The poll of 1,460 workers found that 57 per cent of people spend 40 minutes on social networking sites each week, equating to a loss of one working week per year per person.
