The Week: Media Reviews - SMG wins £7.5m McCormick

Starcom MediaVest Group has been awarded the £7.5 million pan-European media planning and buying account for the food group McCormick & Company, which owns brands including Schwartz.

Starcom won the business after a pitch in France against the incumbent, Carat, and other undisclosed agencies. The company spent £2 million on UK media in 2008, according to Nielson, but that figure is expected to rise to £4 million next year.
