The Week: People news - Baylay takes on BBC role

Sharon Baylay, Microsoft's former online services manager, has joined the BBC as its director of marketing, communications and audiences. Baylay, who replaces Tim Davie, the newly promoted director of audio and music, joined Microsoft in 1993. Before Microsoft, she worked at IBM, Apple, Compaq, Computacenter and Olivetti.
