The Week: People news - Burnett moves to Facebook

Gary Burnett, the man behind Google's AdWords business, has left to join Facebook.

Reporting to Sheryl Sandberg, the chief operating officer, he will head the social networking site's global self-service ad operation. He is the second Google executive to leave the business in the past week following the departure of Erin Clift, the North American director of agency relations, who is joining AOL.
