The Week: People news - Burnham invites views

The culture secretary, Andy Burnham, is giving broadcasters the chance to convince him of the benefits of product placement on TV, after initially saying he is opposed to any relaxation of the rules. Last week, Burnham launched a consultation on plans to regulate product placement on British TV. He said he was "open to hearing other views" on the issue.
