The Week: People news - Mirror to cut more jobs

Mirror Group Newspapers has asked staff to take up voluntary redundancies as it embarks on a new wave of job cuts across its editorial and commercial departments.

Members of staff, including senior management, at the group's national Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People titles, have been asked to take up the offer, in a bid to help offset the company's downturn in revenue and to protect profits.
