The Week: People News - Moir's column apology

Jan Moir has issued a formal apology for her Daily Mail column on the death of the Boyzone singer Stephen Gately.

Moir apologised to Gately's family and friends for the timing of the column, which triggered more than 25,000 complaints to the Press Complaints Commission, but also denied that she held any "poisonous" homophobic views.
