The Week: People news - Standard appoints Sands

Sarah Sands, the editor-in-chief of the Reader's Digest, is joining the Evening Standard as a deputy editor.

She joins a new team at the newspaper, which is now owned by the Russian billionaire Alexander Lebedev, being put together by the recently appointed editor, Geordie Greig. Andrew Bordiss, the existing deputy editor, will remain at the newspaper.
