Weetabix has launched the follow-up to its Cannes Lions-winning "Steeplechase" ad, with a new 30-second spot featuring marathon runners.
The ad, created by WCRS, shows several peak athletes pulling away from the pack in a marathon race. Suddenly a group of friends, dressed in huge furry animal costumes, draw level and begin chatting casually with the athletes.
The friends then start joking amongst themselves before making a final dash for the finishing line and winning the race.
The TV spot uses the strapline: "Someone’s had their Weetabix", and will be accompanied by a poster campaign that also features the characters.
