Oldfield will be responsible for providing channel and technology insight for the agency's range of clients, which include Coca-Cola, Nike, Heineken and ESPN.
He will work closely with W&K Amsterdam's head of planning, Martin Weigel, and form part of the agency's strategic management team. The team has been boosted over the past year with a number of key appointments, including Bartle Bogle Hegarty London's Amanda Feve, Dare's Ben Armistead, TBWA\London's Daisy Andrews, VCCP's Stuart Parkinson and Leo Burnett London's Nick Docherty.
Oldfield moved to Aegis in 2009, initially joining to work on the Adidas global business, before becoming its director of content and partnerships in January last year. Before that, he was a business director at Mindshare and also spent time at ZenithOptimedia.
