- WV Publications has launched Women's Health and promises the new monthly title will be unlike others in the market as it will feature 'real women'.

The launch coincides with the British Medical Association's recent condemnation of TV and magazines featuring super thin models, which it claimed may encourage anorexia in young people.

Priced at £2.50, Women's Health is described as a lifestyle magazine with a health twist for ABC1 women in the 25-45 age group.

It claims it will cover fitness, fashion and beauty but from an unconventional angle. Features on make-up and the latest fashion trends are out, while reports on tattooing, sportswear and kickboxing are in.
