Women's Aid outdoor campaign features on TV ad

The Women's Aid outdoor campaign tackling domestic violence has unveiled a TV ad voiced by Julie Walters.

The ad aired last night during Indian Summers, the Channel 4 drama featuring Walters. Yesterday was also International Women's Day.

The campaign by WCRS includes an outdoor ad that features the image of a woman with cuts and bruises on her face.

Every time the screen registers people looking at it, the marks on her face disappear. The work was created by Mike Whiteside and Ben Robinson.

The outdoor ad was featured on an Ocean Outdoor board after winning first prize in the Interactive category in Ocean Outdoor’s The Art of Outdoor digital competition in 2014.

The TV ad will air again at 7.20pm this evening during Channel 4 News.
