The World: Amsterdam - Nagel to replace Smit at Starcom Netherlands

Gerrit Nagel has been appointed to replace Jacqueline Smit as the chief executive of Starcom in The Netherlands.

Smit left Starcom Netherlands at the start of the year to become the country manager of MSN.

Nagel joins the agency from Carat, where he was previously the product development director and the deputy general manager. He was also responsible for client services, strategy and new business.

During his 25-year career, Nagel has worked at agencies including MediaCom and Ogilvy & Mather.
