The World: Auckland - Sky puts MTV and Nickelodeon in half of homes

MTV Networks Asia and Sky TV have signed a deal that will make localised versions of MTV and Nickelodeon available to almost half of New Zealand's households.

MTV New Zealand will launch on 19 August as a 24-hour service, while the childrens' channel Nickelodeon will be modified and relaunched on 1 August with a brief to target two- to 14-year-olds. Sky TV will carry both channels.
