The World: Auckland Sugar and SparkPHD appointed to BNZ business

The Bank of New Zealand, one of the country's largest banks, has appointed the independent creative agency Sugar to handle its creative account and SparkPHD to work on its media business.

The agencies were awarded the business following a pitch against a number of undisclosed agencies, including Young & Rubicam, which had been the incumbent on both accounts for the past four years.

Earlier this year, Y&R produced a campaign for the bank called "family gathering", which saw a group of people taking their piggy banks with them to celebrate a family birthday. The ad featured the strapline: "Better off BNZ."
