The World: Bangkok - Krung Thai Bank hands Saatchis creative task

Saatchi & Saatchi has landed Krung Thai Bank's £3 million creative account without a pitch, following a protracted review that was eventually shelved.

The bank called a pitch in mid-2005 but was told by the Advertising Association of Thailand that the ten agencies invited to take part in the review would not do so without a fee payment. The company refused to pay the fee, and the pitch was eventually cancelled.

Euro RSCG Flagship previously held the account.

The win coincides with Saatchi & Saatchi Singapore winning UOB Bank's creative account, which covers Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
