The World: Beijing - Christine Pong named DDB executive creative chief

DDB China has appointed Christine Pong executive creative director of the agency. She replaces CC Tang, who left the agency to spend time with his family before deciding on his next move.

Pong is tasked with overseeing the agency's creative output and developing new talent.

The DDB chief executive, Tim Evill, said: "Pong understands that the success of the people who work for her is more important than her own."

The move sees Pong returning to the agency where she began her career 20 years ago as a junior creative.

She has since worked at JWT, D'Arcy and, most recently, Bates Asia Hong Kong.
