The World: Beijing - Dentsu, DWA and MEC pitch for $2m Lenovo account

Lenovo, the Chinese computer giant, is looking for an agency to handle its $2 million media planning and buying account in South-East Asia.

The computer manufacturer has shortlisted Dentsu, DWA and Mediaedge:cia to pitch for the business. Mindshare, the incumbent on the account, decided against taking part in the process.

Ashutosh Srivastava, the Asia-Pacific leader of Mindshare, said: "Given the declining economic environment, Lenovo is restructuring its operations in Asia, and changing its commercial needs and resources in the area of marketing services."
