The World: Beijing - Greenpeace hits out at 2008 Beijing Olympics

More turbulence is set to accompany the 2008 Olympics with Greenpeace set to release a report highlighting what it claims are the environmental failings of sponsors.

Jamie Choi, the corporate social responsibility campaigner for Greenpeace China, said: "We will talk honestly about the achievements and failures of the 2008 Olympics as a whole."

However, the environmental pressure group is not expected to stage public protests against sponsors in Beijing. Choi said: "For the Beijing Olympics, we are mainly engaged in private lobbying of sponsors."
