The World: Beijing - Olympics committee brings in outdoor media rules

Sponsors of this summer's Olympic Games are facing problems following the introduction of rules by BOCOG, the organising committee, of new rules governing the buying of outdoor media.

With just over two months until the start of the event, the committee has invalidated all ad agreements signed last year and stipulated that sponsors buy outdoor media in packages at capped rates.

The move follows the removal last year by city authorities of hundreds of billboards in an effort to stop advertising fragmentation ahead of the Games.
