The World: Copenhagen - Revenue slump sees freesheet go to the wall

Nyhedsavisen, the Danish freesheet owned by LundXY, has been closed with immediate effect owing to the economic slowdown.

The newspaper, which has made heavy losses since its launch in October 2006, had become the country's most widely read newspaper.

Meanwhile, Denmark's number one quality daily, Jyllands-Posten, is to ditch its broadsheet format this week in favour of a new tabloid layout.
