The World: Dublin - Aegis purchases Brindley Advertising for EUR12m

Aegis has bought the Irish media agency Brindley Advertising in a deal worth EUR12 million.

Brindley will be integrated into the Aegis global media planning and buying division, Aegis Media.

Robert Lerwill (pictured), the chief executive of Aegis Group, said: "The acquisition of Brindley Advertising will complement Aegis Media's position in the Irish market. The company is a highly professional agency with a well-regarded management team and I welcome them as part of the Aegis family."

Brindley was established in 1956. Its clients include the Football Association of Ireland and the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland.
