The World: Ho Chi Minh City - BBDO Asia to expand into Vietnam

BBDO Asia-Pacific is opening an office in Vietnam. The agency will formally begin trading in April 2007 and will be led by David Small, the former executive creative director of JWT Vietnam.

The agency's founding client will be the Vietnamese portion of the global Fonterra account, which BBDO won in August 2006.

The BBDO Asia-Pacific chairman and chief executive, Chris Thomas (pictured), said: "Vietnam is a rapidly emerging economy in Asia and one that is becoming increasingly important to our clients. David will build a team with a deep knowledge of the market and an agency that is fresh and dynamic."
