The World: Hong Kong - Wong named new chief of BBDO and Proximity

Clara Wong (pictured) has been named the chief executive of BBDO and Proximity Hong Kong.

Wong, who will take charge at the end of April, began her career at JWT in Asia. In 1995, she became the chief executive of Saatchi & Saatchi in Hong Kong. In 2000, she moved to New York to join Kirschenbaum Bond & Partners as its executive vice-president.

Meanwhile, Carol Potter has been appointed the chief executive of BBDO/CNUAC in China. She will assume control of the agency and Proximity on 8 April.

She has worked in Japan, Australia, the US and Europe. She joins from JWT in Shanghai, where she handled clients such as Unilever and De Beers.
