The World: Johannesburg - BMW hands brief to Ireland-Davenport

BMW has moved its ten million rand (£920,000) creative account in South Africa into the start-up agency Ireland-Davenport.

The business was won in a two-way shoot-out against the incumbent agency, TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris, which had held the car manufacturer's business for more than ten years.

The start-up agency, which was launched last summer, has already hired the TBWA account directors Sue Ferguson and Prinaven Pillay and Yellowwood's creative director, Andy Rice, to run the account.
