The World: Kuala Lumpur - Ogilvy & Mather gives fresh role to Simpson

Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia has appointed Gavin Simpson as its group executive creative director.

Simpson, previously the executive creative director of O&M in Hong Kong, replaces Daniel Comar, who is moving to a new role as the regional executive creative director of OgilvyAction.

Zayn Khan, the chief executive of Ogilvy Malaysia, said that under Comar the agency has made "big strides in terms of business growth, creative quality and effectiveness".

Simpson's new role means a return to the agency he first joined in 1991. His 17-year career also includes spells at Naga DDB, Young & Rubicam Malaysia and Leo Burnett Indonesia.
