The World: Kuala Lumpur - TBWA seeks to offload 33 per cent of staff

TBWA\Tequila Malaysia is set to lose around one-third of its employees after offering staff the chance to take part in a voluntary "separation" scheme.

The initiative will see 25 members of staff depart from the agency, with each being paid the contracted termination period as well as unused leave and an extra two months' salary for every year served.

TBWA\Tequila said that although new-business wins in the first half of 2009 matched those for the same period in 2008, the lack of spending by existing clients meant organic growth had been difficult to achieve.
