The World: Los Angeles - BMW reviews $155 million media account

BMW is to review the media chores on its $155 million ad account. The incumbent, GSD&M Idea City, which was added to the BMW roster in November 2005, will defend the business.

The car manufacturer, which announced a drop in sales of around 7 per cent in August, has said that it will hire a search consultancy to run the review.

Earlier this year, it put its £80 million US regional advertising assignment up for review, with a view to consolidate the work at a single shop.

It is understood that the review will not affect GSD&M Idea City's national creative duties, which it also handles.
