The World: Madrid - Gost steps down from Starcom MediaVest Iberia

Alberto Gost is quitting as the president and chief executive of Starcom MediaVest Group Iberia after five years to become a consultant.

Hired by the group's London headquarters to lead the project to transform the company in Iberia, one of his objectives was to position the company as a modern media agency, manage the transition process and to align the Iberian division with multinational standards.

Nick Daily, the chief operating officer of Starcom MediaVest Group for EMEA, said: "Alberto leaves a company in excellent condition, with a management team highly qualified and ready to face new challenges in the future."

Gost will still remain at Starcom until July, and will work closely with London to help recruit his successor.
