The World: Manila - Creative agencies pitch for APP's Paseo tissue brand

Asia Pulp & Paper, which is under fire from environmentalists for allegedly fuelling climate change, is looking for a creative agency to launch its Paseo tissue brand into the Philippines.

The news comes a month after a pitch for Paseo in Indonesia stalled because of agency withdrawals. Among them was Lowe, which pulled out because it objected to the company's environmental track record.

The pitch for the Philippines launch is due to be contested by TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno, Creative Juice, Bates 141, Campaigns & Grey and Publicis.

APP has been accused of clearing large areas of protected Indonesian rainforest. The company denies the charges which, it claims, have been made by competitors to tarnish its image.
