The World: Melbourne - Amy Smith named JWT Australia and NZ chief

Amy Smith (pictured) has been appointed chief executive of JWT in Australia and New Zealand.

She will replace Mike Connaghan, who is moving to become the chief executive of JWT's STW Group.

Reporting to the network's worldwide president, Michael Maedel, Smith will take up her post in April and run the region from JWT's Melbourne office.

Before moving to Australia in 2004, where she became the managing director of Whybin\TBWA in Melbourne, she worked as the managing director of Wieden & Kennedy in London.

Connaghan said: "Amy is an outstanding talent and she will bring a new and exciting dimension to JWT."
