The World: Mexico City - Publicis wins Home Depot creative contest

Home Depot has appointed Publicis Mexico to handle its creative account, following a pitch against a number of undisclosed agencies.

The retailer, which has more than 50 stores in Mexico, has briefed Publicis to encourage Mexican consumers to take up home improvements.

The Home Depot win comes as Publicis Mexico also picked up new accounts for Nestle and Gruma.

Gruma, which is the largest manufacturer of cornflour and tortillas in the world, has appointed Publicis to look after its Mission and Maseca brands, while Nestle has awarded the agency briefs for its baby brands, Gerber and Nestum.
