The World: New York - Eight names in the hat for $70m BMW business

BMW in North America has chosen eight agencies to compete for its $70 million advertising account.

They are: Independent Anomaly, Berlin Cameron/Red Cell, Publicis, Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, GSD&M, The Martin Agency, Venables, Bell & Partners and Wieden & Kennedy. The incumbent, Fallon, declined to repitch.

The list will be narrowed down to a shortlist of three or four in October, and the winner will be selected by the end of the year.
