World: New York - FCB hires Centrillo as its new chief executive

Steve Centrillo, the IPG chief growth officer, has been appointed the chief executive of FCB New York.

Centrillo, who joined IPG from Grey, where he was the chief operating officer of its Atlanta office, will report to the chief executive, Steve Blamer, and will work closely with Chris Becker, FCB New York's chairman and chief creative officer.

"Steve embodies the leadership qualities as well as the depth and breadth of experience I'm looking for to help reinvigorate our flagship operation," Blamer said.

During his time at Grey, Centrillo helped win accounts including Bell South, Nokia and Convergys.
