The World: New York - Fitzpatrick fills chief strategy position at Initiative

Janet Fitzpatrick, the former vice-president and director of global marketing at Motorola, has been appointed the chief strategic officer of Initiative Worldwide.

Fitzpatrick will be based in New York and report to Initiative's chief executive, Alec Gerster. She will work closely with regional heads in Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America on leveraging the network's resources and developing its strategic product.

During her career, Fitzpatrick has been the chief executive of MindShare Japan and a media director at Lintas in Hong Kong.
