The World: New York - Goldstein takes IPG board presiding director role

The Interpublic Group board director Richard Goldstein will replace Frank Borelli as the presiding director of its board following the company's annual shareholder meeting in May.

Goldstein, who is the chief executive of international flavours and fragrances at Unilever, was previously the president and chief executive of Unilever's US business.

Borelli, a former chief financial officer of Marsh & McLennan, was made the presiding director of the IPG board in November 2002. He will remain on IPG's board.

Michael Roth, the chief executive of IPG, said: "Goldstein brings deep experience and knowledge to the role, which will be of incalculable value as we move forward."
