The World: New York - Interpublic agency wins AOL broadband account

AOL has appointed Hill Holliday Connors Cosmopulous to handle creative on its move into ad-supported broadband.

The Interpublic agency, which beat AOL's other roster shop BBDO to win the business, will be responsible for building the company's brand as it moves its business model away from dial-up services and into broadband, which includes free ad-supported offerings.

BBDO, which was added to the AOL roster in 2003, will remain an AOL agency, but it is unclear on what parts of the business it will work.
