The World: New York - Kaplan Thaler and Carat win $125m Revlon brief

Revlon has appointed the Kaplan Thaler Group and Carat respectively to handle the creative and media accounts for the Revlon brand, worth a combined $125 million, in a competitive pitch. The New York-based agency Deutsch had previously handled both duties. Berlin Cameron/Red Cell and MindShare were also involved in the pitch.

The win will see the Kaplan Thaler Group work on Revlon's brand and product advertising. It will also launch Flair, a new fragrance from the cosmetics company, in time for Christmas 2005.

Deutsch remains the incumbent on Revlon's Almay brand, an account it is defending in an ongoing review involving Kaplan Thaler and StrawberryFrog.
