The World: New York - MediaCom appoints a director of implementation

MediaCom has hired John Miles as its director of implementation. Miles was a senior executive at Interpublic's now defunct GM Mediaworks, the media buying arm devoted to General Motors.

In his new role, Miles will oversee all buying operations for broadcast, print and other media and will report to MediaCom's chief executive, Dene Callas, and its chairman, Jon Mandel.

Last year, MediaCom restructured its national TV buying group after the exit of its executive vice-president, Peter Olsen.
