The World: New York - MindShare retains global Kodak media account

WPP's MindShare has retained the worldwide media planning and buying account for Kodak following a media consolidation review launched in August.

In addition, WPP's Neo@Ogilvy was awarded the digital business, dispatching the incumbent, Carat Fusion.

The review followed concerns over dwindling profits after digital technology caused a dramatic decline in film use, which was formally the core of Kodak's business. Kodak's domestic media spend fell from $205 million in 2002 to $90 million in 2005, according to TNS.

The creative business, which is handled by Ogilvy & Mather, was not included in the review.
