The World: New York - Omnicom in $600m Bank of America account win

The Bank of America has moved its $600 million advertising account out of the Interpublic Group and into Omnicom.

The pitch was run by an Omnicom team consisting of executives from eight agencies including BBDO Worldwide, Organic, OMD Worldwide and the Hispanic agency Cultura.

Susan Smith-Ellis, Omnicom's executive vice-president, will handle the business.

Meanwhile, BBDO New York has been appointed to handle Motorola's $100 million-a-year advertising account. The agency will handle account management, distribution and creative duties, including next week's launch of the Motorola Rokr, the new phone with iTunes software.
