The World: New York - Scarpelli named as DDB world creative chief

DDB has promoted Bob Scarpelli,the chairman of its Chicago office, to the position of worldwide chief creative officer of DDB.

Announcing the appointment, Ken Kaess, the DDB Worldwide president and chief executive, said: "For 28 years, Bob has given DDB and its clients some of the most enduring and talked-about advertising in the industry.

He is more than ready to take on this new and expanded role as my creative partner."

Scarpelli retains his title of chairman of DDB Chicago and there are no plans to appoint a successor to the US chief creative officer post he holds.
