The World: New York - TBWA\Chiat\Day lands $40m Snickers account

Masterfoods is moving its $40 million above-the-line account for Snickers out of BBDO and into TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York. The decision follows a review that included the incumbent and Nitro. TBWA\Chiat\Day already handles the Skittles and Starburst brands for the FMCG giant.

Michele Kessler, the marketing vice-president of established brands for Masterfoods USA's Snack Division, said: "TBWA\Chiat\Day New York has shown an outstanding ability to connect with consumers and drive growth on our businesses for Skittles and Starburst.

"The agency delivered great strategic thinking and creative work. We are looking forward to partnering with it to reinvigorate Snickers' iconic status."
