The World: New York - Time Inc sheds 18 titles in $200m Bonnier deal

Time Warner has sold 18 magazines to the Sweden-based publisher Bonnier Group.

The deal, worth more than $200 million, includes titles in Time Warner's Time4 Media and The Parenting Group portfolios.

Bonnier entered the US market last year, when it bought a stake in World Publications. The new deal will allow Bonnier to consolidate Time4 Media, The Parenting Group and World Publications into one publishing group of which it will be the majority shareholder.

The news comes in the same week as Time Inc announced it was to cut almost 300 jobs with a view to surviving in the digital era.
