The World: Paris - Delecour exit paves way for Klein at OMD France

Bruno Delecour has stood down after two years as the head of OMD France.

A statement from Delecour said the decision tied in with plans to create his own company. However, other reports have linked his departure to the loss of large accounts including Danone and Peugeot - which the media agency won in 2005 and lost the following year.

Colin Gottlieb (pictured), the chairman of Omnicom Group Europe, said Delecour will be replaced by the OMD France chief operating officer, Sonja Klein, who will work alongside the heads of planning and buying divisions: OMD Bleu's Christophe Brossard and OMD Rouge's Magali Florens.

The three executives will report to Gottlieb.
