The World: Paris - Havas sees European growth send revenues soaring

Havas has announced an 8.1 per cent year-on-year increase in revenues from its European operations for the first half of 2008, as the group's global pre-tax profits surged by 21.3 per cent to £73 million.

The company, overseen by the chairman, Vincent Bollore, reported group revenues of £608 million for the period, up by 3.6 per cent year on year. A company statement attributed the increase to "strong business growth in key markets reflecting new account wins and increased market share".
